Malayalam movies is having a good start in the year 2017 with few good films released so far. Due to the strike there was a slight delay in releasing of Malayalam movies in the beginning of January. The first movie released was Dulquer salman's Jomonte Suvisheshangal directed by Satyan Anthikadu. Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran and Aiswarya Rajesh are in the lead is running successfully.
The second release in January was Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirthapol directed by Jibu. Beautiful Malayalam actress Meena was the female lead opposite Mohanal declared another super hit. It was the third super hit of Mohanlal after Oppam and Pulimurugan. Actress Meena Joined Mohanlal after the blockbuster movie Drishyam. Mohanlal next movie will be directed by Major Ravi titled 1971: Beyond the boarders.
Mammootty movies are not yet released in 2017. The first Mammootty movie expected to release in March which is titled as Great Father with Malayalam Tamil actress Sneha in the female lead. Prithviraj is prodcing this movie also Tamil actor Arya doing an important role in the movie. Another Mammootty movie currently progressing is Puthanpanam directed Ranjith.
