Shobana won two times national award for her movies. Other than Malayalam films Shobana performed in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. The debut movie in Malayalam was April 18 directed by Balachandramenon. India government honored her presenting the Padma Shri and Kala Rathna award by Kerala government.
