Malayalam cinema is very rich with beautiful talented actresses. These actresses are also famous in other languages like Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Many of the Malayalam actresses won many awards including the national recognition.
We had the old Malayalam actresses like Sharada, Sheela, Jayabharathi in the early stages of Malayalam cinema. They were paired with the veteran actors like Satyan, Prem Nazir and Jayan. Sobhana entered the Malayalam movies later on. Sobhana is the well known dancer who won the national award for her performance in 'Manichitrathazhu'. Urvashi is till in movies doing mother roles.
